Glamorgan Heritage Coast

Stretching for 14 glorious miles and running from West Aberthaw to Porthcawl the Glamorgan Heritage Coast is an area of outstanding natural beauty and some of the most unspoilt beaches in South Wales.

Exploring by foot is the best way to enjoy this coastline as some of the beaches are remote, the Heritage Coastal Path will take you on a spectacular journey past Celtic Hill forts, the medieval castle of St. Donat's and a ruggedly picturesque coast made up of low sandstone cliffs, dunes and secluded estuaries.

Dunraven Bay & Southerndown

Dunraven Bay

Overlooked by Dunraven Castle these two beaches are situated side by side and are located at Southerndown, near Ogmore. The beach at Southerndown is made up of some amazing rock formations.

Ogmore-by-Sea

The beach at Ogmore is made up of carboniferous limestone and as well as being very scenic it's great for fossil hunting.
